However, during a high-level virtual meeting held at Nabanna on Tuesday evening, she instructed District Magistrates (DMs) to ensure clear communication regarding the payment timeline.
The Chief Minister explicitly noted that money will not be disbursed instantly upon submitting the form. The state is currently carrying out a strict assessment to ensure structural transparency. The Annapurna Yojana Application Verification Process is actively underway to filter out data errors and ensure that the monthly financial assistance reaches only genuine, eligible beneficiaries without any interference from middlemen.
Massive Turnout at Public Welfare Camps
The three-day Jan Kalyan Shivir (public welfare camps), which commenced on June 15, conclude today, Wednesday, June 17, 2026. These administrative camps have seen an overwhelming response.

Beat the Heat: Directives to Protect the Elderly
Expressing deep concern over long queues under the scorching June sun, the Chief Minister issued a stern reminder to District Magistrates:
“Public welfare camps are meant for the convenience of the people, not to cause them hardship. No one should fall ill due to the intense heat.”
To protect vulnerable groups, the Chief Minister shared a highly reassuring message for senior citizens. She announced that once these mass camps conclude, government employees will personally visit the homes of elderly citizens to deliver application forms and assist them in completing the paperwork comfortably at home.
Furthermore, she ordered that forms for all welfare programs—including old-age and widow pensions, which are temporarily suspended—must remain fully available at the counters. The Chief Minister assured the public that she intends to take up the matter of these suspended pension programs directly with the central government very soon.
