Kolkata: An explosive Mamata Banerjee leaked audio clip has triggered a massive West Bengal political row. In the viral recording, Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo and former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is purportedly heard berating and threatening the CEO of Belle Vue Hospital Kolkata.
This breaking piece of Mamata Banerjee news surfaced just 24 hours after her nephew and TMC National General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, was brutally targeted by an angry mob in Sonarpur.
The Leaked Audio: “God Will Not Excuse You”
The controversial Mamata Banerjee leaked audio features a voice closely resembling the TMC chairperson lashing out at Pradip Tandon, the CEO of Belle Vue Hospital Kolkata, where Abhishek Banerjee was admitted. In the high-voltage conversation, the speaker accuses the hospital administration of misleading the public and bending to opposition political pressure.

“Sorry Mr. Tandon, you have done a wrong thing. Please remember what help we have done for you. God will not excuse you. You are misleading. You should be ashamed. Everybody will remember your arrogance… You are running the hospital and BJP is in power. Tomorrow, if central government is not there, we will take care of it.”
The development has dominated recent West Bengal news, giving the opposition fresh ammunition to accuse the TMC leadership of using blatant intimidation tactics against healthcare administrators and private institutions.

The sequence of events began when Abhishek Banerjee—frequently mocked by political opponents with the derogatory term “bhaipo” (nephew)—visited Sonarpur in the South 24 Parganas district. He traveled to the region to meet families affected by the ongoing Sonarpur post-poll violence following the recent West Bengal Assembly elections.
The situation quickly spiraled into chaos. A volatile mob intercepted his convoy, hurling stones, eggs, and heavy verbal abuses while chanting “chor, chor” (thief, thief).

The Attack: Witness accounts confirm that Abhishek Banerjee [was] attacked by scores of protestors who surrounded the Diamond Harbour MP, catching his security detail completely off-guard. His motorcycle was pushed to the ground during the melee.

The Escape: Visibly shaken, with his spectacles broken and his shirt torn open, Abhishek was forced to wear a cricket helmet to protect his head from flying debris as his aides shielded him.

The Allegations: The TMC leader later claimed the attack was a pre-planned attempt on his life. “It’s all BJP-sponsored. Look what they have done… It hasn’t even been a month, and the police are nowhere to be seen,” Abhishek stated.

Hospital Hopping Amid Alleged Political Pressure
Following the assault, Abhishek was initially rushed to Apollo Hospital in Kolkata before being shifted to Belle Vue Hospital Kolkata.
As the West Bengal political row intensified, Mamata Banerjee strongly defended the transfer during a press conference. She leveled severe allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and local law enforcement, claiming that senior BJP leaders and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) were actively making threat calls to doctors to downplay her nephew’s injuries and force an early discharge.
According to the latest news, Abhishek’s condition remains highly serious. He was admitted to the Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) after developing internal blood clots from the assault. Doctors have subjected him to an array of diagnostic protocols, including:
