Who Will Get Annapurna Bhandar? (Eligibility Criteria)

The scheme primarily targets economically weaker families based on a socio-economic survey. To be eligible, families generally need to meet deprivation criteria such as:

  • Low asset ownership (less than 3 pucca rooms, limited landholding, no four-wheeler vehicle).
  • Low family income and no major government benefits or pensions.
  • No high-value financial instruments like Kisan Credit Card, GST registration, or Income Tax payment in most cases.

Annapurna Bhandar Required Documents For The Application Form:

  • One form per family, containing fields to list multiple names.
  • Names, dates of birth, and gender of the Head of the Family and other members—as per their Aadhaar Cards or official government identity proofs; Aadhaar numbers of all family members; EPIC (Voter ID) numbers (including the specific part/section number of the electoral roll); Bank Account numbers; Digital Ration Card details (including its category, if applicable); and PAN Card details (if available).
  • Details regarding the type of dwelling; specifically, whether the house comprises three or more pucca (permanent/concrete) rooms featuring cement walls or roofs; and the total landholding owned by all family members combined.
  • Whether any member of the family owns a personal motorized four-wheeled vehicle.
  • Whether any family member holds a Health Insurance policy, Kisan Credit Card, Artisans’ Credit Card, Fishermen’s Credit Card, Students’ Credit Card, etc.
  • Whether any member pays Income Tax or Professional Tax; the nature of their employment; whether anyone is a government pensioner; whether anyone holds a GST registration; and the total annual income of the family.
  • Educational qualifications of the adult family members, and the specific school grades in which the children are currently enrolled.
  • Whether any family member currently holds a Constitutional post.
  • Whether the children’s vaccination records are up-to-date; and whether the family is receiving any other benefits under government schemes (such as pensions) via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
  • If the family’s name was excluded from the SIR 2026 list, whether the matter is currently pending adjudication before a Tribunal.
  • A declaration must be submitted affirming that all provided information is accurate and that the accompanying documents are authentic; furthermore, it must be declared that no information has been concealed. The declaration must acknowledge that the submission of false information or evidence will result in legal penalties.
  • If, following verification, a beneficiary is to be excluded from the scheme, the concerned official is required to record the specific reasons for such exclusion.

Who Will NOT Get Annapurna Bhandar? (Exclusions)

The following families are likely to be excluded during verification:

  • Households with 3 or more pucca rooms.
  • Families owning motorized four-wheeler vehicles or significant landholdings.
  • Families with government employees, pensioners, or members holding constitutional posts.
  • High-income families or those paying Income Tax/GST.
  • Families already receiving substantial benefits under other schemes.

  2. Fill the Form:
