His focus remains on development, education, and welfare. Most TVK Tamil Nadu candidates are not traditional politicians but people with proven social service backgrounds.
One inspiring story is that of K.V. Vijay Damu. In the 1990s, as a young auto-rickshaw driver, he was impressed when Vijay casually sat and spoke with local people during a film shoot. Damu started a fan club. Today, he serves as a TVK MLA. Stories like this make common people believe in Vijay’s vision.
While fans of Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Pawan Kalyan also do social work, the scale and speed with which Vijay converted his fan base into a political force remains unmatched.
